The English Choral Tradition
Concert in the round - works by Tallis, Byrd & others
with the SFBC Period Consort

Our season finale celebrates the exceptional choral music that came out of sixteenth century England during a time of great political and religious unrest. Isolated from continental Europe by both geographic location and social turmoil, Elizabethan composers deepened their already distinctively English choral style. Join us in the beautiful acoustics of Trinity Episcopal Church for a concert of spectacular singing-in-the-round with works for multiple choirs by Tallis, Byrd and other brilliant early English composers.
